The product isn't gummy or too oily and lets the material breathe. Lexol is the only product that I use on my bag. I was pleased that the product came in the convenient size that I haven't found in any of my local stores. I purchased this kit to maintain a leather sofa and loveseat. It is easy to use and smells good. This was recommended by a furniture salesman who had been in the high end market for 20+ years. He recommended this brand over what was offered in the store. Said he swore by it for leather car,equestrian and couch use. Tack shop also recommended it as top rated (they were sold out) as well. I recently purchased an old leather chair from a thrift store. Before I ordered the Lexol, my sofa was loosing its dexterity. So upon receiving the conditioner first, I wiped down the sofa with a damp white cloth first, then applied the conditioner. The restoration of my sofa was coming back to its original state... The kit was a disapointment in packaging and arrival for once I received it the box in the sealed bag was opened and torn.
