The time and care he took to fix the machine was impressive. It works better now than it did before it needed help! With four kids, several dogs, a husband in construction and white carpets, I assure you that I have bought, owned and utterly destroyed every single kind of vacuum and steam cleaner there is.

clean wood floors and vinegarNot only did it FAR EXCEED any dream I ever could have had, it was lightweight, easy, cheap, cleaned stains that I knew would "never" come out and absorbed the moisture that was brewing into mold and most importantly, it actually changed my life in that my family is breathing easier and I am no longer embarrassed that if someone stops by that they will see my stains

, because they are no longer there! Women know what I mean by that, it weighs heavy on us that even though we clean, it may not look clean.

I share this personal information because I see that years of using all of those toxic cleaning products have contributed to my children's asthma, ADHD and my immune disorder. If just one person spares contributing to the the detriment of their child from these things by making one small change, like going to A-1, then any embarrassment in my sharing of this information is completely worth it.

ShareFlag04/05/2013I first called the store to see what brands they carry for me to demo. The person was so helpful over the phone and answered many questions. The same salesman helped me in person, answering more questions, being candid with pros and cons of each of the 3 vacuums I narrowed my selection to, patiently let me use them with all the tools, look at bags and filters, turn them over to look at roller bars, all while not pressuring me to purchase. I eventually settled on a very nice Riccar because it met all my needs. He was so helpful. I highly recommend this local store, and I say this being a person who normally buys most things online.ShareFlag04/13/2011Huntersville's Best Vacuum StoreMy wife has a bad back and I have to do all the vacuuming. We have used Dyson, Hoover, and Eureka but all did a poor job on the pet hair and I can't stand the smell they make. My wife went to the vacuum store next door to the Kid Time where we keep our kids and she met the manager who showed her a Miele.

She used it and thought it would be great as she didn't have any trouble with her back. I told her that I wanted to look at it first and I came with her on the next visit. We looked at several different models. Being sceptical I ask a lot of questions but in the end we bought a Capricorn. I was told to return in 7 days if it didn't do everything he said it would. I have now had it over a month and it is nothing short of amazing. No smell, my wife can use it, and it cleans everything. Being in sales myslf, I really appreciate how patient and informative he was and we never felt preasured to buy. If your in the market for a vacuum, I highly recomend you visit this store! As the owner of a cleaning company in Phoenix, AZ, I often get asked for recommendations for my favorite vacuums. Everyone wants to know they have the best vacuum for their budget, so I’ve put together a list of my favorites in varying price ranges. Keep in mind that this is all based on my own personal experience. None of these companies have paid me to say this.

Also, I have not personally used every vacuum on the market, so there are probably some terrific vacuums that could have made this list. These are simply the ones that have really impressed me when I've used them. You want to know a little secret? This bare-bones, budget-friendly vacuum is the one we have at our house. It’s almost eight years old, and as much as I would love to get a newer, fancier, prettier vacuum, this one will not die. The best part is that it costs under $50!We have two dogs, and the brush and suction do a great job of getting all the hair up from the floors. Having dogs, I also prefer being able to switch vacuum bags instead of emptying a canister. It just feels cleaner having all that dust, dirt, and hair contained in the bag. My only complaints about this vacuum are that both the cord and the extension hose are a little shorter than I would prefer them to be. But all in all, for under $50, this vacuum cannot be beat! This power house of a vacuum is a staff favorite at Moxie Girl.

It’s an older model, so the price has dropped significantly since Shark has been introducing the new models of the Rotator line. Don’t let the $130 price tag fool you; this vacuum holds its own!Unlike some pricier vacuums that are confusing to use, this one is very intuitive to figure out. It’s easy to turn on, use the extension hose, and clean any and every nook and cranny of your home. This is a bagless vacuum, so you will have to empty the canister quite often, but it’s also kind of fun (or terrifying) seeing how quickly this model pulls dirt from the floors of your home.Shark Rotator Professional Lift Away NV500Yep, another Shark vacuum made the list. This one is very similar to the NV400, but it has an added bonus that can come in very handy. The canister on this bad boy releases from the frame of the vacuum and allows you to get in even the trickiest spots of your home. Cleaning stairs, behind and under furniture, and the tops of your curtains has never been easier than it is with this model.

If you are the type who wants to feel like you are getting the most you possibly can from your vacuum, the Rotator Professional Lift Away will make you feel like you have two totally different vacuums.Kenmore Progressive Bagged Canister VacuumUnlike the last three vacuums that have amazing online reviews, this one doesn’t have the best reviews. I can only guess it is because it’s a pull-behind canister model, and most of us aren’t used to using this type of vacuum anymore. The pull-behind piece can be a little tricky to learn how to keep control and not bang it into your baseboards and furniture, but if you are willing to give it a little time, I think you can come to love this vacuum as much as I have.I used this vacuum on a weekly basis when I was cleaning a 7,000 square foot home, which had 4,100 lb dogs living inside. Most of the home had hard floors, but there were also rugs. The nifty foot release on the hose made it super easy to switch back and forth between using the beater brush attachment, to the hard floor attachment, to the furniture attachments.
