General Or Light Cleaning To clean Sunbrella while still on an awning frame: Brush off loose dirt. Prepare a cleaning solution of water and mild soap such as Woolite or Dawn dishwashing liquid. Use a soft bristle brush to clean. Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric.

Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed. May not require re-treatment depending on the age of the fabric. If stubborn stains persist, you can use a diluted bleach/soap mixture for spot cleaning of mildew. For roof run-off or other similar stains a strong degreaser may be required. Heavy Cleaning For Stubborn Stains And Mildew Sunbrella fabrics do not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric. To clean stubborn stains: Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and one fourth cup mild soap per gallon of clean water. Allow mixture to soak into fabric for up to 15 minutes. Keeping your rubber roof clean and doing it properly is the most cost effective way of preserving it and maintaining your warranty. Clean your roof 3-4 times per year. Get a good inspection. Use any commercial grade cleanser such as Protect All Rubber Roof Cleaner. If your RV roof is VERY dirty (black), you may want to cover the sides of your vehicle with plastic sheets. Sweep, or rinse off, as much of the loose grime as possible. Apply your rubber roof cleaner using a spraying mechanism. Use a sponge mop, or soft bristle brush if it is very dirty, to activate the cleaner using a circular motion. Absorb the dissolved grimy residue with the sponge mop. If the sealant is starting to lift off, gently remove as much as you can, clean the area and re-apply self leveling sealant. Take a fresh (new) tube of self leveling sealant, insert this tube of sealant into a caulking gun with the pointed nozzle end placed into the designed slot opposite from the ratcheting mechanism.14 Apply this sealant along the cracked or potential pin holed area that you have just cleaned from any dirt and grime.
