Source Separating Domestic Waste for RecyclingThe Programme on Source Separation of Domestic Waste, launched in January 2005, aims to make it more convenient for residents to separate waste at source. This is done by encouraging and assisting property management companies to provide waste separation facilities on each building floor, and broadening the types of recyclables to be recovered. Under the Programme on Source Separation of Domestic Waste, a diverse range of recyclables is being recovered in housing estates, such as plastic packaging materials, compact discs and metal biscuit tins.
