Clean Carpets Means Happy Carpets! So, here’s the deal. I walk into my office and I’m faced with a team of my cleaners who are looking a little too happy for a Monday morning. If you don’t already know I own a cleaning business, and I’m always on the lookout for machines that will help my employees get the job done quickly and effectively. After all, the more effective the cleaning products I use are, the happier my customers are and that means repeat business.I was talking about my team. When I asked them what was so good about a Monday morning that they should be smiling, they had one answer – the Bissell Big Green Clean 86T3 deep cleaning machine. Most of the contracts I have are from office buildings rather than domestic, and we had a new contract to do over the weekend. I had recently purchased the Bissell based on what I’d seen at a trade show, and thought it would be worth trying. It seems I had the right idea because it turns out everyone working on the new contract wanted a turn on this beast of a carpet cleaner.

Not having actually used it myself yet, I had a chat with my team to find out what was so good about it. First of all I was told the adjustable tank handle is an absolute dream. I have two cleaners who are on the taller side, and they said this feature made cleaning much easier on their backs. There are two large capacity tanks that sit on top of each other. One holds enough solution to cover a wide area, and the other collects the dirty water. In addition, you also have an indicator light that tells you when it’s time to empty or refill which, incidentally was really easy to do. The cleaner weighs in at just over 50lbs but apparently it was very easy to move around, and got to the edges of the carpet without any trouble. Carpet on stairs was one thing my cleaners always used to loathe doing simply because it’s such an awkward job. Not so with the Bissell! You get a handy 6 inch stair attachment with a 6 foot hose, and if that wasn’t enough the power cord is extra long.

You can also use this attachment of the upholstery on your furniture (great for office chairs)! My cleaners were amazed at the results this carpet cleaner gave. Of course, they didn’t know how all that works but I do. The Big Green has a set of powerful rotating brushes that clean as you move backwards and forwards (making cleaning much quicker and more effective). The solution is sent down through the brushes deep into the pile of your carpet whilst at the same-time sucking all the dirt out. If that wasn’t enough, this carpet cleaner also has a dry air feature that sends heat into your carpet, which drastically cuts down the amount of drying time. If you have hard floor surfaces in your home, think about how often you have to sweep or vacuum surface dust and dirt? Now think about how many times you do that with your carpet. You may do all the surfaces at the same time but the difference with vacuuming a carpet is it doesn’t get right down into the deep fibers.

It doesn’t bear thinking about what can be hiding at the bottom of your carpet, and since I use the Big Green for commercial properties with excellent results, I just had to share it with those of you that want to make the carpet in your home look like new.
